He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Bruner and Bessie Coffman Bruner; his wife Roberta L. "Bobbie" Bruner; and his sister Charlotte Jean Brougher. He is survived by: his child Terry Bruner (Mary Ann) of Butler; his grandsons, Brandon Bruner (Katie) of Prospect and Ted Bruner (Laura) of Mount Pleasant; his great grandchildren, Stephanie Kulp (Tucker) of Moon Twp, Kristie Bruner of Moon Twp, Holly Fordyce (Gene) of Lemont Furnace, Caleb, Haley, Tegan and Sloane; his siblings, Glenn Bruner, Jr. of Indian Head and Betty Ann Bruner of Tavares; and also, Alexis Crawley (Anthony) of Myrtle Beach, S. C. and Brielle Fordyce of Lemont Furnace.
