He was predeceased by: his parent Richard Shives; and his brothers, Owen Shives, Elvin Shives and Howard Shives. He is survived by: his parent Ora Robinson Shives; his wife Miriam P. Timmons Shives; his daughter Linda K.; his grandchildren, Leah M. Witter and Nathaniel G. Witter; his brother Merle Shives (Ina); and also Mercersburg.
