He is survived by: his spouse Shirley C. Shappell (Tyson); his parent Mary Shappell (Keim); his children, Rodney R. Shappell (Sandra) and Carol A. Breeze (John); his great grandchildren, Joseph, Natalie, Carter, Madison and Kaitlyn; and his sister Kathryn Shade.
