He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Deist and Kathryn Deist (Shoener); and his siblings, Robert P. Deist and Ardell J. Griswold. He is survived by: his wife Patricia C. (Turner); his daughter Donna D. Torres (Mariano Jr.); his granddaughter Caitlyn LaSota (Dane); his great grandchildren, Elias and Eden LaSota; and his pet Coco.
