Hoopes; his stepsons, James, Domer, Richard, Ronald and Gerald Mitchell; and his siblings, Leo, Arthur, William Hoopes, Irma Papalazoros, Martha Caprino, Eva Lawson and Marie Joe.
He is survived by: his sons, Bernard G. Hoopes of Latrobe and Jeffrey P. Hoopes of Latrobe; and his sister Nancy Weimer of Greensburg. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
