He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Violeta and Arthur William Brobst; his siblings, William Brobst, Richard Brobst and Elizabeth Melnick; and his stepdaughter Katrina Hollan.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Brobst (Zuber); and his stepsons, Joseph Jr., Daniel and Jason Hollan. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
