She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregory Vera and Minerva Vera (Jimenez); and her daughter Tamika Henderson. She is survived by: her husband John E. Slater; her children, Tara Slater of Allentown, Tyhesha Slater-Evans (Ronald) of Bethlehem and Andre Ridley of South Plainfield, NJ; her siblings, Doris, Dorida, Deagracia, Dalis and Rosemarie; her grandchildren, Aaliyah, Tyara (Malik) of Michael, RJ, Cameron, Maili, Hannah and Brooke; her great grandchild Malachi; and her son-in-law Murlen Henderson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
