He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hozella and Rose Hozella; and his sisters, Anna Palamar, Julia Carpenter, Mary Bosack, Olga Rettew and Stella Player.
He is survived by: his friend Charles Fedornak; and his nieces and nephews, Yvonne Paegel (Daniel), Rose Orzechowski (Paul), Sharon Horst, Greg Rettew (Marguerite), Len Bosack and Raymond Palamar (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family prefers donations to St. Nicholas Church.
