He is survived by: his mother Victoria Freeland (Bissett); his stepfather Barry Freeland (Kathy) of Fairmont, WV; his children, Emily Copen of West Leisenring, Richard Copen Jr. of West Leisenring and Brittany Copen (Jeffery Shaffer) of West Leisenring; his siblings, Jack Copen (Kathy) of Clarksburg, WV, Roger Copen (Crystal) of Lumberport, WV and Christina Copen of Clarksburg, WV; and his grandchildren, Adalynn, Zander, Kenzley and Waylon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
