It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clayton Mattern Jr. of James Creek, Pennsylvania, born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John H., Betty Berkey, Clayton James and Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Mattern. He is survived by: his parents, Clayton Allen Mattern Sr. of Etters, PA and Barbara E. Mattern (Berkey); his close friend Patti A. Mattern (Johnston); his stepson Eric Johnston (Nichole); his granddaughter Peyton Johnston; and his sisters, Briana Mattern of Ocean City, MD, Diana Stiffler, Dana Mattern and Christina Fields. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
We ask that those in attendance would follow CDC guidelines by wearing a mask and following social distancing. Burial will be held privately at Russellville Methodist Cemetery.
