He was predeceased by: his parents, Verdie "Bert" Emerick and Leora Emerick; his grandson Peter E. Emerick; and his siblings, Merle, James, Robert George, Paul, John, Wilma Hatridge and Sharon Haggerty.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley I Emerick (Clites); his children, Wayne E. Emerick Jr., Jesse Emerick (Avelene), Cynthia Willison (David), Mary Rebecca Emerick and Danielle Emerick-Engle (Tylor); and his siblings, Ernest Emerick, Pauline Moore, Betty Lou Clites and June Kimmell. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
