He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne A. Shaffer (Bedford) and June E. Shaffer (Hyndman). He is survived by: his wife Cyndi Shaffer (Minnick) of Hyndman; his sisters, Rena Litten (Fred) and Rhonda Sites (Greg); and his siblings-in-law, Verna Burkett (Jeff Dermer) of Hyndman and Richard "Rick" Minnick (Jan). He is also survived by uncle, two aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly; a stepmother and stepbrother.
