He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCoy and Sylvia McCoy (Clark); and his siblings, Marjorie Shroyer and William McCoy. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy McCoy (Emerick); and his brother Robert McCoy (Paulette) of Hyndman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
