She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene S. Shaffer and Faye Shaffer (Wertz); her husband Melvin L. Korns; her siblings, Ada Jean Shaffer and James Shaffer; and her grandson Shawn Farley.
She is survived by: her children, Warren Korns (Darla) of Meyersdale, Deena Rice (Allen) of Cumberland, Lorna Hart (Bruce) of Hazle Township and Annette Knotts (Don) of Hyndman; her grandchildren, Gale, Kevin, Renee, Megan, Glen, Sarah and Jason; her great grandchildren, Aidan, Easton, Gavin, Noah, Carmen and Colt; and her brother John Shaffer (Ida) of Hyndman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
