He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin B Horst and Martha Horst (Lehman); and his siblings, Sarah Martin, Mary Horst, Nevin Horst, Lauren Horst, Maurice Horst and David Amos Horst.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn M. Horst (Longenecker); his children, H. Paul W. Horst (Cindy), Elaine C. Shenk (Douglas) and Tina N. Maxwell (Oliver); his brother Glenn R. Horst; his grandchildren, Jamila, André, Emanuel (Manny), Zachary, Natty and Alia; and his great grandchildren, Jensen and Kaia.
