George E. Dextras Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George E. Dextras of Hopwood, Pennsylvania, born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on June 6, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Josaphat Dextras; his wife Donna Y. Dextras; and his brother Joseph Shugart. He is survived by: his children, R. Allen Brown of Uniontown, PA and Debbi Rivas of Uniontown, PA; his grandchildren, Tony Brown, Eligio Rivas and Georgia Malinowski; and his brother James Shugart (Pat) of Fenwick Island, DE.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of cards or flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Legion Post 51, 508 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA 15401.
