She was predeceased by: her parents, John Furin and Mildred Furin (Liptak); her husband John A. Kowalyk; her son Stephen Kowalyk; her sister Virginia Ohler (Clarence); and her daughter-in-law Linda Kowalyk.

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Kowalyk and Joseph Kowalyk; her grandchildren, Christopher and Lindsay; her great grandchild Brennen Sloan; and her brother Vincent Furin (Sylvia).
