He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Johnston, Sr. and Emma Johnston (Long); his son James; and his brother Dale Johnston of Derry, PA.. He is survived by: his wife Marcella J. Dallara (Mal) of Homer City; his sons, Terry (Georgette) of Penn Run, PA and David (Karen) of Gaithersburg, MD.; his grandchildren, Brian Johnston (Julie Sando) of Hemet, CA, Brett Johnston (Rachael Piccione) of Martinsburg, PA, Kimberly Johnston of Baltimore, MD, Katherine Johnston (Danny Wyman) of Gaithersburg, MD, Shawn Johnston (Samantha) and Emma Johnston of Gaithersburg, MD.; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Johnston, Natalie Robinson of Baltimore, MD and Madeline Johnston of Monrovia, MD. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
