He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Johnston and Elizabeth Johnston (Strayer); and his son Christopher. He is survived by: his spouse Wileva Bettis; his children, Shellie, Michael Jr. and Kevin; his grandchildren, Timothy, Grace and Camila; and his brothers, Robert and Daniel. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew; three great nieces and one great nephew; and many beloved cousins.
