He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Bittle and Elinor E. Bittle (Slusser); his siblings, Joanne Davidson and Larry E. Bittle; and his grandson Brooke Hetrick.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Bittle (Williams); and his children, Kristy Kunselman (Jason) and Adam Bittle (Alicia). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
