He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Pietroski; his parents, Walter Pietroski and Vera Pietroski; and his brother Paul Pietroski. He is survived by: his sister Teresa Pietroski; his children, Joan Honeyman (Gerry Fico), Richard Pietroski, Jr., Nancy Pietroski (David Smith) and Susan Philip (Brett); and his grandchildren, Jesse, Danielle and Patrick.

He was tech savvy until his passing, engaging online every day, and videoconferencing with family during the pandemic.
