He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Elder and Edith Elder (Eicher); his grandson Zac; and his siblings, Edward, William, Harold, Joseph Elder, Ruth Weis, Laura Seevers, Patricia Ahlborn and Sally Alcorn.
He is survived by: his wife Lorie Elder; his children, Corey Elder (Shannon) of Columbus and Shad Elder (Renee) of Greensburg; and his grandchildren, Bryson, Cameron, Brooke and Hannah.
