He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray II and Thelma Ray (Schilling). He is survived by: his siblings, John Ray III (Mary) and Carole Piriano; his wife Nancy Lynne Ray (Edge); and his children, Suzanne Lutz (Timothy), Stephen Ray (Sheila), Deane Ray (Linda), Tammy Marks (Tim), Todd Ray (Cindi), Mark Ray (Zena), Rebecca Harding (James) and Scott Ray.
