He is survived by: his wife Irene O. Nelson (Carey); his children, Lori A. Cashman (Rick) of East Berlin, Shawn S. Nelson (Heather) of York, Jeffrey L. Nelson of Mechanicsburg and Jamie L. Nelson (Beth) of East Berlin; his stepchildren, Robert Peters (Kathy Jo) of Biglerville, Debra Rose (Jim) of Gardners, Daniel Spence (Suzy) of Gettysburg, Jason Spence (Maria) of Dover and Dena Burke (Bryan); and his daughter-in-law Kathy Nelson of York. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
