He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Coyle (Fogarty) and John Coyle; and his brother Joseph Coyle. He is survived by: his sons, James, Jr., John (Anne) and Robert (Julie); his grandchildren, Kate, Kelly, Justin, April Hogg (Robert), Natalie, Chelsea, Robert, Jr. and Joseph; his great grandchild Carson Hogg; his brother John "Jack" Coyle (Joan); his sister-in-law Sanka Coyle; and his significant other Pam Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, James family has requested donations in his name be made to the American Cancer Society, 1818 Market St. Philadelphia, PA 19103.
