He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Zeiber and Elizabeth Zeiber (Buziewicz); his son Jason Filipowski; and his brothers, John and William S. Zeiber.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene S. Filipowski; his mother-in-law Marilyn Whittaker; his daughter Melissa Filipowski (John Peterson); his sister Pam Zeiber Burton McDonald (Ed); and his grandchildren, Caleb Britton, Tylor Piotrowski, Alex Kaschak and Kendra Piotrowski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
