He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Fred C. and Hilda Knappenberger (Flory); his stepmother Catherine Knappenberger (Lesher); and his brother Robert C. Knappenberger Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Knappenberger (Jones); his children, Mary Velez of Emmaus and Paul W. Knappenberger (Kristine Knappenberger) of Macungie; his grandchildren, Kathryn, William, Connor Velez and Rachel May Knappenberger; and his sister Mary Ann Chubenko of Florida.
