He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Rena Smith (Meyers). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Smith (Smoyer); his children, Craig Kuhns (Denise) of Catasauqua, DeAnn Wollen of Emmaus, Carolyn Trunk (Glenn) of Allentown and Cynthia Billera (Mike) of Allentown; his brother Gerald Starr; and his children, Joseph Smith of West Lafayette, IN, James Smith (Cindy) of Nazareth, John Smith of Lakeland, FL and Barbara Blatt (Chuck) of Topton.
