He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Balascak (Engleman); and his parents, John and Anna Balaschak (Yurick). He is survived by: his children, Ann Ruhf and Larry Balascak (Vickie); and his great grandchildren, Audrey Balascak, Nora, Freddie Gerloff, Rowan and Ada Carl.
