He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Karnes and Mildred Shirey Karnes; his son Clark Karnes; his daughter-in-law Gina Karnes; and his siblings, Alma, Shirley, Florence, Delores, Maxine, Gerald, Wayne, Arnold and Lamont.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Eakman Karnes; his children, Jeffrey A. Karnes of Parker, Pam Smith (Larry) of Emlenton and Kevin Brown of Huey; his grandchildren, Jeb Karnes (Tonya), Nicholas Smith (Mindy), Shane Smith, Teri Karnes and Malinda Smith; and his great grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Gabriel Jack, Lillian Smith and Audrianna Jack. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
