He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hower and Pauline Hower (Gibbons); his wife JoAnne Hower (Smith); and his siblings, Donovan E., Marjorie Sneddon and Betty Kublic.
He is survived by: his children, Barry F. (Kathy), Daryl E. Snellville (Jeanne), Stephen E. York (Sophia) and Paula Hower Clausen (Jens). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
