He is survived by: his wife Nancy M. Frampton; his sons, John Gilfert (Tracey) of Cuba, N. Y., James Gilfert of Eldred and Joel Gilfert (Lisa) of Portville; his brothers-in-law, John "Crow" Shay of Eldred and Bill Frampton of Tulsa, Okla; his grandchildren, Justin Gilfert of Bristol, Morgan Dowell (Richie) of Eldred, Rheannon Coleman (Nick) of Gibsonia, Senneca Stone (Ariann) of Pittsburgh, Channing Niver (Cory) of Brevard, N. C., Holden Bernstein of Olean, N. Y., Tiernney Bernstein and Maddox Bish of Portville; and his great grandchildren, James, Nora Dowell, Julia, Shane, Trey, Liam Simpson, Micah Bernstein, Blake Niver and Evan Mix.
