She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. "Ike" and Florence Wasser (Litzinger); and her brother Robert J. Jr.. She is survived by: her sisters, Naomi and Jane Hatch (Beverly J.); her husband Robert Eckenrode; her sons, Jeffrey and Steven Eckenrode; her grandchildren, Todd, Justin, Lynn, Elizabeth and Allan Michael; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Liam, Maddie and Adriana; her siblings, Jay Wasser (Dee) and Betty Lou DeSalvo; and her siblings-in-law, Kenneth Eckenrode (Lucille), Betty Wasser, Strongstown, Carole Wasser, Ebensburg, Darlene Jovanaugh (Frank), Sharpsville, Maryann Schlosser and Myrtle Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
