He was predeceased by: his mother Rose Marie Fazekas Clymer; his wife Dawn Stamets Clymer; and his son Grayson Clymer. He is survived by: his father John G. Clymer, Sr.; his stepmother Elaine Clymer; his son John Sterling Clymer; and his sisters, Denise Rooks (John) of Easton, Sheila Simonds (Kenneth) of Plainfield Twp and Tina Graffin (Scott) of Moorestown, PA..
