He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood J. Weppel, Sr. and Madelyn E. Bellis Weppel; his close friend Marlise Leichtenstern; and his sister Louise Gerlach (Bill). He is survived by: his son Elwood J. Weppel, III (Annette) of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Jessica Mays, Elwood Weppel, IV and Zachary Weppel; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Blayke, Autumn, Kaiya and Rory; and his siblings, James Weppel (Brenda) of Palmer Twp, Robert Weppel of Easton, PA, Mary Catherine Bashelor of Seaford, DE and Dareen DeVine (Robert) of Selinsgrove, PA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
