She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Counterman and Lucy Counterman (Ace); her sister Frances Counterman; and her son-in-law John Dugan. She is survived by: her husband John E. VanWhy; her children, John W. VanWhy of Greentown, Tammy Dugan of East Stroudsburg, Russell William VanWhy (Deborah) of Saylorsburg, Tracy Fazio (Richard) of Henryville, Scott VanWhy of Tannersville and Stephen VanWhy of East Stroudsburg; her grandchildren, Christopher, Wesley, Jesse, Audrey, Chelsea, Brittany, Ciera, Danielle, Maddison, Kaeden, Avery and Star; and her great grandchild Devin.
