He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Laydon and Elizabeth Laydon (Ross); and his sister Katherine Carrero. He is survived by: his spouse James L. Hammesfahr, Jr.; his siblings, Robert Rothschild (Cathy) of New York, Patricia Cirabisi of Ohio, Caryn Gillam (Thomas) of Florida and Jacqueline Cardone (Dave) of New York; and his brother-in-law Cary Hammesfahr (Kimberly) of Connecticut. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
