He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Aungst and Pauline A. Aungst (Reffner); his sisters, Debbie Ross, Trudy White and Donna Lingenfelter; and his mother-in-law Nellie Vasquez.
He is survived by: his wife Susie (Vasquez); his daughters, Jessica Marie Aungst of Altoona and Jamie L. Pipetti (Josh) of Williamsport; his stepchildren, Colleen Miller, Andrew and Dillon Garlock; his grandchildren, Noah and Luna; his siblings, Jodie B. Nedimyer (Gerald) and D. Scott Aungst (Lisa); and his close friend Rodney Watson. He is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
