He was predeceased by: his parents, Mearle Claar and Olive Claar (Amick). He is survived by: his wife Connie Reffner; his children, Coleas Langenbacher (Tim) of Duncansville and Kevin Claar (Cynthia) of New Enterprise; and his siblings, Ted Claar, Coleen Richardson, Louise Morris, Reda Briglia and Wayne Claar. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren two step-great-grandchildren.
