He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Joshua Harkins (Jill), Joseph Harkins, Jamie Long (Darryl), Jeremy Harkins (Lindsay) and Jonathan Harkins (Kaila); his parents, Joseph Harkins and Wilhelmina Harkins (Wurster); and his siblings, Jackie Harkins Kulp (Neil) and Rob (Sherie). He was also cherished by seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and contributions, the family has requested that donations be made to Catholic Social Services of Philadelphia, an agency dedicated to providing adoption and pro-life services to families.
