Romayne Stanell Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Romayne Stanell (Doylestown, Pennsylvania), born in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, who passed away, on June 17, 2018. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Romayne Stanell to show support.
She used her education to secure a position with Merck laboratories in Philadelphia and married "her Jimmy" in 1953". After her first two children were born in 1957 and '58 she began teaching Math at St. Hubert's Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia where she worked until she retired in 1992, she also substituted in Neshaminy School District for many years. Before retirement, in the evenings "Jimmy" would drive and wait for her in the LaSalle University parking lot in the years it took her to attain her Masters Degree in Education at LaSalle University in 1989. Romayne was a devout Catholic saying prayers for many every night with her prayer cards and before moving to Doylestown was a faithful communicant of Assumption B.V.M. Church for 55 years. In her free time Romayne enjoyed always being with Jimmy and her family who gave her the most joy in her life. Romayne touched many lives in her special way and had many friends through the years. She loved, attending Penn State football games, walks in Tyler and most recently Fanny Chapman Parks, doing Sudoku puzzles and planning parties wherever she lived through the years. She had a party for a friend planned this week. She never forgot anyone's name, their children or grandchildren and their important milestones with a card or call. Babcie would always call her grandchildren early on the first and last day of school and birthdays with a song. She will be so greatly missed but her love will live on. Romayne is survived by her loving children: Dr. Laurie Anne Stanell, and her husband John T. Moore, of Pipersville, James "Jay" Parks Stanell, and his wife Diana Marie, of Doylestown, and Dr. William Parks Stanell, and his wife Karen A. Giller, of New Hope; and her seven grandchildren: Kendall, T.J., James, Anthony, Catherine, Samuel and Benjamin. Romayne's family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.
