He was predeceased by: his mother Brenda Young Misson; his brother John Levi, III; and his grandparents, John, Jean Hoyt and Mary Young.

He is survived by: his father John L. Hoyt, Jr. of Monroe Township; his sister Angela Henniger; and his grandfather Charles Young. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
