His devotion to staff and the highly successful outcome of the Limerick nuclear project was under-realized to the point of being taken for granted by his management. Never missed reading The New Yorker from cover-to-cover during lunch, totally devoted to family. Such an uncommon combination of practical engineering and big-picture decision-making. Flashbacks to those days come to me all the time.”
