He is survived by: his wife Merissa Zappariello (Kilbrith); his daughter Samantha Madalyn Zappariello; his brother Jeff Zappariello; his sister-in-law Karen of Wilmington, DE; his niece Olivia; his nephew Nicholas; his stepbrothers, Michael (Melissa) and Joseph D'Alessandro (Katrina); his parents-in-law, Lee Kilbrith and Donna Kilbrith; and his sister-in-law Jacqlyne Thornton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Damon's memory can be sent to an education fund for Sammie.
