He is survived by: his pet Teako; his wife Helen Covany; his son William Phillips (Katherine) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Peyton Walter, Cheyenne Walter, Sage Phillips, Taen Phillips, Sephora Phillips, Larissa Phillips and Saqqara Phillips; his son-in-law Richard Walter; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Phillips and Donald Pilger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
