He was predeceased by: his brothers, Herbert and William Witmer. He is survived by: his sister Carolyn Blumenschein; his niece Suzanne (Dean Vitatoe); his nephew Brian (Suzanne Blumenschein); his great-niece Ericka Vitatoe; and his great-nephews, John Ruth, Zachery Vitatoe and Benjamin Witmer.
