He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Kirkpatrick and Helen Kirkpatrick (Nentwig); his stepson James Heck; and his siblings, James Kirkpatrick Jr., William S. Kirkpatrick and Sally Knauer.
He is survived by: his wife Fay (Martin); his pet Lexie; his stepchildren, Cathy Will, Dorian Glunt of East Waterfold, PA and Rory Glunt of Lititz; his nephews, Todd Kirkpatrick, David Kirkpatrick and Donnie Garber; and his niece Jamie Schell.
