He was predeceased by: his stepbrother Wayne Null. He is survived by: his wife Jane Vera of Wrightsville; his sons, David Sumpman of Columbia and Doug Sumpman of Wrightsville; his grandchildren, Emily Sumpman, Doug Sumpman, Jr. and Justin Sumpman; and his great grandchild Naomi Jane Sumpman.
