He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Thomas and Mable Effie Sylvester; his wife Wanda Stanley; and his siblings, George Sylvester (Ruth), Edward Sylvester (Irene), Mable Mooney (Tom) and Lawrence Sylvester (Dolly).
He is survived by: his brother Chester Sylvester (Karen) of Abingdon, Maryland; his children, Penny Sylvester, Butch Sylvester (Marie), Bobby Sylvester and Tommy Sylvester (Debbie); his grandchildren, Bill Anderson, Jack Lindell (Lindsay), Larry Lindell, Jason Sylvester, Eric Sylvester (Allysa), Melissa Sylvester and Jessica Sylvester; and his great grandchildren, Trey, Tylor, Jade, Jake and Bella. He is also survived by six great great grandchildren.
