It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Scherder of Chicora, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Vandersyde and Katherine M. Fleischer Vandersyde; her husband Charles A. Scherder; and her brothers, John and George Vandersyde.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine L. (Jeffery Groves), Caroline (Dennis Land), Rose M. (George Pawluk) and Mary Lou Scherder of Cranberry Township; and her sisters-in-law, Wanda and Mary Vandersyde of Butler, PA.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora, PA 16025 All Covid guidelines will be followed.
